Job Description
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or customer issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
- Supervise the work of logistics specialists, planners, or schedulers.
- Monitor product import processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements
- Analyze the financial impact of proposed logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or mixes, or carriers
- Research ideal shipping techniques, routing, and carriers and negotiate rates with them.
- Assess and recommend ideal shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications, and costs.
- Schedule and track inbound and outgoing shipments.
Job Requirements
- Fluency in English.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or relevant field.
- Postgraduate studies in Supply/logistics field
- at least 15 years of relevant work experience
- Have in-depth knowledge of Shipments process, custom clearance procedures, International legalizations and local governmental challenges on Import.
- Strong experience in sourcing, payment terms and International Shipping Agreements (FOB & CIF)….
- Solid understanding of logistics and inventory management software.
- Outstanding analytical, problem solving and organizational abilities.
