Job Description
- To monitor the system and application processes
- Performing system and application backups;
- Performing Daily/Monthly Close of business cycles
- Restore Operating system and application files from backup in case of a disaster
- To report the discovered problems to Application, Database and System Administrators
- To escalate the discovered problems based on the established escalation procedure
- To gather and provide the required information, i.e. log files, simple queries to database required for problem resolution
- Performing Archiving of Applications’ generated spool files and standard reports.
Job Requirements
- OS knowledge intermediate level in Unix/Linux to cover the functions mentioned above
- Intermediate level knowledge in SQL
- Veritas Backup Solution Knowledge and experience
