Job Description
- At ESAB Egypt, we are looking for a Junior Accountant and Project Assistant who is eager to work for a family business in a diverse role with main focus on accounting duties and opportunity to work on various projects in business development. The role has a dual reporting line to the Finance manager and Business Development manager.
- ESAB Egypt is a family owned small to medium size business which was established in 1979 and is representing several suppliers, mainly in the steel and metal fabrication field.
Main Responsibilities
- Keeping financial records up-to-date in ERP.
- Processing business transactions.
- Handling bookkeeping and following accounting best practices.
- Fact-checking invoices for payment and processing.
- Maintaining sales ledger and general ledger.
- Monitoring vendor statements, wire transfer requests, and other transaction.
- Prepare management/financial reports and performance analysis
Other Tasks:
- Work on specific projects alongside the Business Development Manager g. Sales Excellence Program, Business Expansion, New ERP Implementation.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- BA in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration with excellent academic record
- 1-3 years experience in finance/accounting role
- Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Advanced English skills
- Analytical mind and critical thinker
- Attention to detail and the ability to organize complex information neatly and accurately
- Strong organizational and time management skills,
- Love for numbers
- Good communicator
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
Optional qualifications which are of advantage:
- Master Degree in Finance or Business is a big advantage
- Previous experience with implementing ERP system
