Job Description
- Own all equipment and tooling in the production area.
- Interact with maintenance staff on equipment repair.
- Monitor and work to improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) in the area.
- Interact with maintenance staff to ensure proper preventative Maintenance plans.
- Monitor and ensure the calibration of all equipment.
- Manage and maintain special tools for the area (i.e. ensure spare tools are in crib, tool drawings in place, facilities hand-off).
- Coordinate work flows and prepares technical reports
- Assist with preparation of any certification or regulatory documents as needed
- Interact as needed with purchasing department and raw material vendors.
Job Requirements
- BS degree in Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry.
- 3 to 5 years (including 2 years of leadership) experience, leading various production and manufacturing departments in a batch process-related industry (chemicals, coatings, etc.).
- Ability to analyze daily production metrics (KPI's) and reports.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and drive teams towards ongoing improvement.
- Protect employees by closely monitoring safety practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to support company growth
