Job Description

  • Responsible for managing, maintaining and improving safety in the workplace. Is also responsible for ensuring that legislation is adhered to and complied with in order to manage the planning, implementing, monitoring and reviewing of the health, safety environmental.
  • Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.).
  • Lead the site Health and Safety team.
  • Coordinate the efforts of and coach personnel through the development of critical documentation and tools to support risk assessments, safe work practices and adverse event miss reporting & investigation.
  • Work closely with site management to ensure continual improvement and compliance in HES activities
  • Maintain and develop compliance-related policies and procedures based on HES requirements.
  • Provide HES direction, assistance and support for corrective actions and recommendations to assure site HES improvements.
  • Develop and implement site workplace inspections and audits to identify work hazards and exposures. Determine trends and action plans for remediation and corrective actions.
  • Responsible for ensuring that employees receive training on HES related topics.
  • Represent the Company to outside agencies, media and auditors on HES related matters.
  • Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
  • Review and assist in the development of new facilities and processes to ensure optimum HS&E practices are integrated as part of the change.
  • Select and manage consultants and/or contractors for specialized HES related work.
  • Manage cost optimization in his area by preparing all required PRs for required tools, equipment, specific PPE & services and follow up purchasing to get offers, evaluate technically and follow up to issue PO and delivery.

Job Requirements

  • BSc. degree in engineering or science or relevant field is preferred
  • OSHA, NEBOSH certificates
  • 5 to 7 years of experience, the industrial & Manufacturing Background is a must.
  • Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting statistics
  • In-depth knowledge knowledge towards ISO standards (45001,14001..etc).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present and explain health and safety topics.
  • Successful leadership and hands-on direction of HSE issues in major operating facilities and business functions that support divisional projects.
