Job Description

  • Supervise HR department staff and assists staff in resolving non-routine issues in their respective areas and investigates problems and employee complaints.
  • Manages employee benefit plans including health/welfare plans, flexible spending plans and tax deferred annuities for the district.
  • Oversees eligibility procedures, notice requirements, and annual open enrollment process.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Maintains organization staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interviewing program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; recommending changes.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of Human Resources Management principles, practices, and procedures
  • Must have good PC skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience entering, tracking and analyzing data.
  • Experience with ISO, Six Sigma, 5 S.
  • Effective communication skills (Written and Verbal), and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and tasks.
  • Possesses excellent analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Able to operate light industrial equipment a plus.
