Job Description
- Promote a proactive safety culture at all levels of the organization, with heavy focus on employee engagement towards the safety program
- Work closely with both the Operation Director and Technical manager at the company in highlighting successes and core focus areas, in order to continually develop the company safety program
- Undertake job-site inspections, hazard observations, near miss investigations and audits across all operational projects as deemed necessary
- Identify, develop and deliver safety training in areas such as safety regulation, hazardous conditions, use of tools and equipment etc.
- Ensure the company continually remains compliant and informed of industry regulatory changes when it comes to bodies such as OSHA
- Reviewing and assessing specifications for machinery, equipment or devices to ensure they meet or exceed safety requirements for use in the workplace or by consumers
- Installing safety devices on machinery and in facilities
- Reviewing employee safety training, regulations and processes
- Manage key injury prevention activities, Sponsor employee project teams, engage associates, and monitor and manage their leading and lagging indicators.
- Develop, evaluate and maintain effective health/safety policy and procedures to comply with corporate and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience in an industrial environment (3-5 years)
- Bachelors Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering or other related disciplines (preferred)
- Strong leadership skills
- A proven communicator, who can engage smoothly with reports
- Hold nationally recognized qualifications in HSE standards, OSHA construction
- Excellent command of English
- Must be a resident in Port Said.
