Job Description

OVERVIEW:

  • To market Alternative Education's services and maintain our public relations strategy through different channels.


SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • Assist in creating and maintaining marketing strategies that comply with Alternative Education's market philosophy.
  • Work with Program Managers to identify opportunities for brand enhancement.
  • Follow the marketing budget and seek opportunities for improvement through alternative marketing methods.
  • Work with staff members to develop marketing collateral, including recruitment, tendering opportunities, and brand awareness.
  • Take responsibility for external P.R. and marketing events to maximize communications activity.
  • Monitor member and partner satisfaction through market research and feedback, and identify actions to enhance campaigns wherever possible.
  • Serve as a custodian for the company brand.
  • Supervise development of advertisements, graphics and other media content.
  • Take responsibility for all social media activity (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn) and manage corporate social media accounts.
  • Seek opportunities to improve the use of social media and develop reach.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Job Requirements

  • Has knowledge of local and national marketing venues, methods and resources. [Essential]
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing techniques and their applications, including development of campaigns from inception to delivery. [Essential]
  • Familiarity with marketing tools such as profile managers, ad monitors, graphic design and media programs. [Essential]
  • Knowledge of and experience working some ad platforms such as FB and Google ads managers. [Desirable]
  • Experience working with teams in public relations, events management, campaign planning, etc... [Desirable]
  • A basic understanding of marketing and advertising terminology, direct marketing and branding strategies. [Essential]
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to conduct market research relating to product development and market activity.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with a diverse range of audiences.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments, members, and partners.
