Job Description
- Maintain records of goods ordered and received.
- Locate vendors of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales.
- Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment.
- Control purchasing department budgets.
- Interview and hire staff, and oversee staff training.
- Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future goods availability.
- Develop and implement purchasing and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures.
- Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
- Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
- Represent companies in negotiating contracts and formulating policies with suppliers.
- Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding bids.
- Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in buying, selling, and distributing pharmaceutical goods, medical supplies, equipment, and machinery.
- Prepare bid awards requiring board approval.
- Prepare reports regarding market conditions and merchandise costs.
- Administer on purchasing systems.
- Arrange for expiring goods and medical supplies.
- Controlling distribution rounds and delivery of goods and medical supplies an insure that is delivered in its times.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in pharma, business management, supply chain management or any related field.
- Age from 35-45
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in pharmaceutical trade in the same title.
- Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies and programs such as lean, six sigma and change management.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical and medical supplies field is a must.
- Excellent creative thinking skills with an emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems.
- Highly analytical, data-driven, details oriented ability to handle competing priorities and follow-through on projects.
- Excellent speaking and written command of the English language and excel.
