Job Description
Main Job Duties:
- Responsible for purchasing, receiving, and control of medications.
- Adheres to approved inventory par levels.
- Assures orders are accurately and efficiently entered into the database, picked, and packaged, appropriately.
- Implements measures to lower costs.
- Ensures that the order is entered, including pricing, in an accurate and timely manner.
- Upon receiving medications, assures items are restocked appropriately with the shortest dated medication in front.
- Coordinates the removal of expired products by an approved third party reverse distributor.
- Manages medication shortages with direction from other pharmacy staff.
- Assists pharmacy leadership in compiling statistical data relating to inventory control and management when necessary.
Job Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy.
- Experience: from (1) to (3) Years of experience as a Pharmacy Buyer.
- Familiarity with general accounting and budgeting.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet applications.
