Job Description

  • To satisfy service level required, through flexible planning and a control mechanism to ensure replenishment of material whenever required while optimizing pre, mid & post production inventory levels resulting in revenue increase and cost reduction.
  • To direct and develop efficient foreign and local purchasing operations that meets the Group’s standards and ensure that the Group’s warehouses and logistical operations meet the Group’s short and long term business needs.
  • Participates in the annual business planning process to formulate the overall Group yearly objectives and takes active role to strategic Supply Chain annual targets.
  • In collaboration with his direct reports, the Supply Chain Manager sets and approves the yearly objectives and performance measures of the overseen functions ensuring alignment with the Group’s yearly objectives. Monitors the timely implementation of initiatives and presents periodic reports regarding performance against set standards and recommends the necessary actions.
  • Develops the direct product related material and annual procurement plan in coordination with related functions and submits it to the Operations Director for approval. Ensures adherence to the set budget while auditing unnecessary deviation from the set plan.
  • Reviews and approves the Supply Chain policies and procedures, monitors their ongoing implementation, and ensures clear communication of any updates to his subordinates.
  • Oversees the material planning process to ensure the accurate calculation of material requirements according to bill of material, inventory turnover levels, sales orders and forecast, production schedule and machine production capacity.
  • Directs the qualification, selection and evaluation of suppliers in accordance to the set criteria to ensure meeting the required level of quality and cost. Monitors the execution and renewal of procurement contracts with suppliers. Ensures the timely execution of purchasing plans and provides the necessary directions to facilitate the purchasing processes.
  • Leads and directs the optimization of storage processes in the warehouses, and recommends the necessary procedures to increase the warehouses efficiency. Ensures the accuracy and timeliness of inventory data and undertakes the necessary actions to correct variances (if any).
  • Maintains effective coordination between the Purchasing and the Logistics units to ensure delivering all purchased items to warehouses in a timely manner, and oversees the execution of distribution schedule ensuring that all sales orders are delivered promptly.
  • Ensures seamless and consistent customs clearance procedures without any obstacles according to local laws and systems.
  • Leads S& OP planning process and works collaboratively with the Sales and Production teams to enhance forecasting accuracy and ensure alignment between demand and fulfillment levels.
  • Initiates training and development needs for his team resulting from performance assessment results, and technical training needs serving their functions.
  • Conducts performance appraisal sessions for his direct report in due time. Reviews and approves the performance appraisals conducted by his first liners for their subordinates, ensuring a timely, efficient and objective Performance Management process.
  • Participate, guide and support all employees to contribute in performing the quality, environmental and occupational health& safety systems effectively.
  • Assure the implementation of SHE System requirements in his area of responsibility.

Job Requirements

  • Qualification: B.Sc. from any discipline.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in a relevant field and industry, with at least 3 years in a relevant managerial position.
  • Good command of English language.
  • Computer Literate and good command of MS Office.
  • Competencies: to have Core Competencies according to AHRAM manual of Core Competencies.
