Job Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Strategy: Prepare strategies to exploit current market demand and generate future demand for the Retail business.
  • Market Intelligence: Researches market in terms of current demand, customer preference, types, size, and location of the properties. Where possible, obtains information on competitors pricing policy, property specifications to revamp the company pricing policy, strategies and tactics to effectively position the property against the competition, Liaises with external consultants for additional insights into the above information.
  • Presentations: Deliver presentations to Senior management to inform them of relevant developments, research findings, and market intelligence.
  • Budgets, Reports and Schedules: Prepare periodic reports and actively offer support in the development CFC budget
  • Manage the retail finance team to deliver on time monthly accounting close for revenue and expense, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting and balance sheet integrity
  • Establish benchmarks and KPI: Setup benchmarks and performance measures in consultation with senior management, including measure of sales, to determine the strengths and weaknesses that can determine how well the department’s objectives are functioning.
  • Progress Reports: Develop progress reports on a timely basis as appropriate, on the current status of the business; comments on assessment of future market trends and prospects and propose measures and strategies to achieve or exceed the projected target.
  • Suggest improvements in policies: procedures and Delegation of Authority and ensure compliance thereof to maintain strong internal control.
  • Develop and maintain a suite of project related reports, including, but not limited to monthly dashboards, risk registers, programme timings, cash flows and SOP’s

Job Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Degree or equivalent level of education in finance, accounting business or a relevant discipline

Minimum Experience:

  • 6 – 8 years as a Leasing Management Professional of which 3 years should be at managerial level

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Sound knowledge of Leasing market and practices in local market
