Job Description

Main Responsibilities:-

Portfolio Enhancement and Development:

  • Run needs assessment meetings with each portfolio startup quarterly.
  • Prepare needs assessment results document with the recommended action plan.
  • Update and maintain the KPIs tracking tool.
  • Run KPIs monthly meetings with portfolio startups and setting new KPIs for the next month./
  • Reporting and giving feedback on startups progress and aligning the board's vision with the startups action plan.
  • Exploring ecosystem updates and approaching relevant new startups (in MENA and Africa)
  • Due diligence knowledge and techniques
  • Other administration work (logistics, following up with the clients and other admin day to day tasks)

Program Planning and Execution:

  • Prepare quarterly program timeline based on the needs assessment results.
  • Recommend the needed training and mentors for each portfolio startup.
  • Run and facilitate workshops and training.

Portfolio Expansion and Network Building:

  • Scout for startups via attending events and demo days and searching relevant online databases.
  • Perform due diligence on potential startups.
  • Recommend startups for investment.
  • Create and run initiative and partnerships to enrich the startup pipeline.
  • Research for startup and investor news and remain up to date with all relevant news and announcements.
  • Secure perks and benefit to portfolio startups from possible partnerships.
  • Attend relevant events and work on growing the venture network.

Job Requirements

Skills and Qualities:

  • Bachelor’s degrees in business, finance, economics or marketing.
  • Previous consultancy experience is a huge asset.
  • MA, MSc or MBA for non-business graduates is preferred.
  • Outstanding analytical skills, holistic thinker, proactive and self-motivated.
  • Working knowledge of business and startup dynamics.
  • Strong Excel modeling skills including advanced function and PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication in English and Arabic
  • Emphasis on prefect command of English.
  • Research .

  • 7 years of experience
