Job Description
For IZAM, based in Mohandeseen, Lebanon Square, Giza, Senior Linux Server Administrator and DevOps Engineer and is required with the following skills and qualifications:
- Manage large scale Linux server environments: handling Linux environment builds, including deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting and production operations.
- Identify hardware and software technical problems, storage and/or related system malfunctions, and related servers and services across disciplines.
- Monitor and update disaster recovery plan where required.
- Troubleshoot database issues; maintain database systems availability and scalability
- Play a core role in ensuring code updates are planned and implemented smoothly following all operational procedures
- Install and test upgrades and patches.
- Deploy, configure and manage large-scale MySQL
- Monitor and optimize these instances to ensure database performance and manage database capacity planning
- Work with software application developers to architect, configure, and troubleshoot application servers and the software running on them.
- Manage the deployment, maintenance, and upgrade process of Applications developed by different development groups and teams.
- Troubleshooting and fixing errors common to Applications and Application servers
- Demonstrated high standard of coding practices including good design documentation and peer code-reviews.
Job Requirements
- Application Deployment - Apache, Nginx PHP, MYSQL.
- GIT Version Control Setup and linking, Administration, Configuration
- Networking theory/subnets.
- CI/CD Pipelines for Web & Mobile (Jenkins, shell scripts)
- Containerization – Docker
- Experience with systems and IT operations
- Strong experience working in a Continuous Testing / DevOps environment
- Ability to work without direct supervision while contributing to the success of the team
