Job Description

  • Demand Plan: Creating and maintaining 12-18 months unconstrained demand forecast for assigned products of EL business for all AERDC customers. Collecting, communicating and monitoring demand requirement from cross-functional sales and marketing team to create an unconstrained demand plan. Supporting sales and marketing by providing input on demand based on large projects, promotions and product portfolio management for specific products. Assisting sales and marketing with the consolidation of the LSU demand plan supported by S&OP process as well as tool. Responsible for demand driver’s analysis and reporting. Monitoring effectiveness of sales forecast models to minimize forecast error. Reviewing sales plan and identifying opportunities and risks. Obtaining sales sign-off on the demand plan as input to the Integrated Business planning process for use in monthly, quarterly and yearly inventory and operational planning.
  • Integrated Business Planning: Supporting to implement the IBP Process in AERDC. Leading the Demand Planning Process out of the local Integrated Business Planning process to align market needs, customers demand, planning parameters, stock profile review process, master data distribution and update process, and inventory levels for the entire value chain of AERDC. Partnering and elaborating with sales, finance, marketing and feeder factories operations planners to develop best practice for rolling 12-18 months forecast and collaborative demand planning. Developing integrated rolling demand and supply planning for business execution, measuring and improving plans accuracy. Improving on-time delivery, inventory turns and lead time.
  • Methodology: Identifying macro-economic factors, reviewing trends and monitoring mix shifts amongst product family options, understanding changes in demand drivers. Strong cross-functional collaboration and target to improve forecast accuracy.
  • New Product Launches/ Product Portfolio Management: Coordinating and cooperating with local sales and product management teams to effectively manage phase in and out initiatives, incorporating them into integrated business planning process.
  • Finished Goods: Providing demand plan data to the Inventory Management team to work out the best FG stock profile in the available distribution centers. Focusing on Inventory turn and Inventory-targets. The FG demand plan needs to be provided to feeder factories as input to operations planning based on demand plan
  • Fit-gap Solution/Assessments: Making detailed gap analyses across the value chain and providing solutions to reach expected customer service levels at optimized inventory levels by utilizing value chain assessment methods on a regular basis.

Job Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4-5 years of relevant experience in demand or forecasting role with global experience.
  • Strong experience in SAP or similar ERP applications.
  • Experience in JDA Demand Planning tool or any comparable demand planning system is a plus.
  • Strong data analytics skills and forecast modeling.
  • Capability to train people in demand planning and support the Implementation of an IBP process with marketing & sales
  • Proven leadership skills, with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
