Job Description

About the Job :

  • The general role of the SPM includes managing the company operational projects at corporate office and the company subsidiaries, as well as the Project Managers of the region(s) specified above.
  • Operational projects involve (but are not limited to) the mobilization of the resource to specified pipeline locations, servicing the Liquid and/or Gas pipelines, arranging field surveys and field verification, demobilization of equipment upon completion and reporting.
  • The SPM will perform commercial project reviews after achieving certain project milestones (e.g. after mobilization to the field; after demobilization from the field; after Project Close Out)
  • The SPM will lead a team of up to six PMs, producing, executing and controlling project budgets, scope, schedules and customer satisfaction.

  • Be quality conscious (dynamic approach towards quality improvement and aim at getting things right first time)

  • Follow the company Process Flow Charts and interact with other departments when required
  • Assure timely and accurate reporting
  • Apply clear communication strategies
  • Identify training requirements
  • Technical review of Tender documents, RfQs…
  • Review of cost estimates before bid submission
  • Contract review before project handover
  • Report to COO during weekly project review calls
  • Planning and coordination of activities
  • Ensure all project related info is entered in ERP
  • Plan internal and external KOM
  • Place all necessary requests and check with RM on resources
  • Review assigned budget from Sales
  • Request site assessment
  • Request TM, Log(supply chain) & DA for their services and agree on dates (Handshake)
  • Request Task to TM

  • Create Purchase requisitions when required
  • Job Safety Analysis
  • Have a briefing meeting with relevant parties when required internally
  • Obtain written approvals from customers prior to run & have focal point identified from customer side prior to mobilization.

  • Follow up on Invoice approvals
  • Report up selling and cross selling opportunities to Sales
  • Ensure tool/MP rent is paid on time.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

Skills/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or relevant);
  • Certification in Project Management(PMP) with current validity .
  • Min 5 years of operation planning experience;
  • Experience of 10 years in Oil and Gas sector or EPC contracting;
  • Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level;
  • Excellent English language skills (written and verbal);
    Fluency in French / German / Arabian / Chinese is an advantage.
  • Ability to travel.
