Job Description
Dreem is looking for an experienced Quality Control Manager, main job responsibilities are as below
- Ensure applying of inspection procedures, ensures that it covers all aspects of the process and product areas.
- Manage a team of QC which conducts the inspection on the production process parameters on production lines. Ensures compliance to the set standards and takes corrective actions if necessary.
- Monitor deviations from the standard set process, and develops a reporting system to highlight risks for any deviation taking place.
- Schedule and ensure the calibration of equipment in the factory is carried on time.
- Participate in investigations into product issues, in particular customer complaints.
- Inform and coordinate with (R&D) regarding any process issues, follow up on the recommended solutions and develop required protocols for validation prior to ensuring their implementation.
- Maintaining the standards by auditing areas and liaising with production to ensure adherence to standards and facilitate continuous improvement.
- Develop necessary mechanisms to identify non conformance in product standards, segregates non conforming products, applies holding quarantine process, analyses reasons for non conformance of equipment, Pack/Raw materials, process etc… and coordinates with production team to take immediate action.
- Inspect and approves finished products and ensures adherence to standards before delivery to warehouse.
- Ensure samples are collected in a timely manner for physical, chemical and microbiological testing and given to the laboratory for testing.
- Ensure that the Quality system is maintained and the facilitator for the internal Audits.
- Responsible for managing and coaching the Human Resources team to ensure that all departmental functions are performed effectively.
- Introduce and follow up Hygiene, Safety and quality systems to Factory Site.
- Ensure the continuous induction of Moral and Motivation initiatives to ensure high productive and motivated teams.
- Conduct performance appraisals sessions of his first Subordinates in due time. Ensuring a timely, efficient and objective Performance Management process.
- Initiate training needs for his team resulting from either channels; performance appraisals outputs, or technical training for newly introduced equipment.
- Establish and maintains business relations with Suppliers and governmental authorities and coordinates with them to secure high level of service and ensures contingency plans are in place.
- Ensuring that all quality and Safety systems are in place to ensure the production of the products that are in line with Dreem quality standards
Job Requirements
- 5 – 8 years of supervisory/lead experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge, skills and abilities through experience in production, quality, or materials management is required
- Must have experience in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or another continuous improvement program
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence others through a matrixed environment is required
- Must have the ability project management experience from inception to completion
- Familiarity with HAACP and other QA regulations preferred
