Job Description
- Handle the general day-to-day running of the Production Department with primary accountability for productive output, quality yield and total productive maintenance activities required fulfilling customer orders in a timely and cost-effective manner, including involvement in any task that directly impacts on the ability to meet these objectives.
- Work includes the planning of the 3 shifts; training of people; supporting team leaders; planning preventive maintenance on machinery and analysis of rejects and scrap.
- Promote and develop lean-improvement initiatives, adopting value system analysis techniques and continually develop the skills of operational employees to ensure optimum resource utilization.
Job Requirements
- A technical qualification at diploma level or equivalent.
- The capability of using improvement tools and techniques.
- A strong relationship builder, capable of operating at all levels within the organization and with minimum supervision.
- Ability to think strategically.
