Job Description
- Analyzing consumers’ behavior, market trends, products seasonality and political landscape in relevant markets to support trading decisions
- Studying the addition of new commodities to the current trade portfolio through extensive analysis and due diligence to assess the profitability of the opportunity
- Making buying and selling decisions based on forecasted economic trends or arbitrage opportunities in the commodities markets
- Managing commodity risks and oversees transportation logistics from origin to destination along with the support of trade execution department to maximize revenues
- Considering freight costs, inflation rates, exchange rates and other possible fluctuations while closing trade deals
- Maintaining supply/demand models for traded products and drive continuous improvement in methodology of trade
- Reacting quickly to market moving events and developments to maximize profitability
- Keeping a database of key suppliers and end-users to maximize opportunities in the domestic and export markets
- Building and maintaining networks with industry participants.
Job Requirements
- From 1 to 3 years of experience in commodities trading, investment banking, financial institutions or any related fields
- Engineering or economics major
- Ability to design forecasting models, financial analysis, market analysis, etc.
- Fluent English
