Job Purpose
The reliability section head engineer will secure company assets (production equipment) at his assigned area in an acceptable manner through a high standard of maintenance techniques to extend its useful lifetime. In addition, ensure the best performance and availability of equipment is achieved to maximize its effective valuable utilization.
Key Responsibilities
- Track the production losses and abnormally high maintenance cost assets, then find ways to reduce those losses or high costs.
- Utilizes technology to improve, streamline and automate a manufacturing process.
- Responsible for planning, implementation, and monitoring of such technology.
- In charge of installing an automation machine and making sure that all machines are operating correctly.
- Participate in preparing the annual budget of departmental expenses.
- Analyze all machines/equipment performance and breakdown data to identify the main causes which affecting the overall performance. Develop a plan to eliminate or reduce the losses through root cause analysis.
- Professionally and systematically defines, designs, develops, monitors and refines an Asset Maintenance Plan that includes:
- Value-added preventive maintenance tasks
- Effective utilization of predictive and other non-destructive testing methodologies designed to identify and isolate inherent reliability problems
- Find alternative engineering solutions to sustain the machine high performance operation.
- Involved in the design and installation stages of projects for new assets and modification of existing assets.
- Spreading the LEAN culture in production shop floor "GEMBA, Standard Work, 5S, RCA and tiered accountability).
- Issue SOP's (Standard Operation Procedures) for the new machines and revise the existing describing preventive maintenance and other action needed through SOP.
- Creation of the URS “User Requirements Specification”, revising the design review, Factory Acceptance Test and Site Acceptance Test with the validation team.
- Follow GSK quality standards in all aspects and consider all safety standards in the machines as per EHS guidelines.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree, Engineering (Electrical/ Mechanical) power
- Minimum 5 years of experience in machine maintenance in Pharma or FMCG industries
