Job Description

  • Operates switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls and observe signal lights on switchboards.
  • Answers all incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Listen to customer requests, referring to alphabetical or geographical directories to answer questions and provide telephone information.
  • Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail. Operates manual and electrical mailing equipment.
  • Update mail/phone directories
  • Providing departments with any updates regarding telephone list extensions.
  • Greet, assist and/or direct students, visitors and the general public.
  • Respond to public inquiries , provide resources, and general information to building guests
  • Perform clerical duties, such as typing
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
