Job Description
- Operates switchboard to relay incoming, outgoing, and interoffice calls and observe signal lights on switchboards.
- Answers all incoming telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner.
- Listen to customer requests, referring to alphabetical or geographical directories to answer questions and provide telephone information.
- Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail. Operates manual and electrical mailing equipment.
- Update mail/phone directories
- Providing departments with any updates regarding telephone list extensions.
- Greet, assist and/or direct students, visitors and the general public.
- Respond to public inquiries , provide resources, and general information to building guests
- Perform clerical duties, such as typing
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
