Job Description

Fleet Manager Duties:

  • Manages the Fleet Services Operations.
  • Responsible for effectively establishing and maintaining quality assurance and productivity programs.
  • Expand current fleet, Set up optimal recruitment strategies, recruit and train potential drivers / partners.
  • Manage owned and outsourced fleet operations.
  • Monitor daily operations and ensure required performance.
  • Set and monitor drivers evaluation and their salary scheme.
  • Build fleet annual budget and follow up the cost to be within the approved budget.
  • Develop incentive programs for drivers / partners.

Data input and analysis:

  • Open, maintain and track driver accounts by recording account information
  • Prepare service reports by collecting and analyzing trucking operations
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents

Strategy Feedback:

  • Recommend potential efficiency improvements or strategies to management by collecting fleet data and movements

Job Requirements

  • 7 years of experience in fleet management and operations
  • Excellent knowledge of heavy trucking operations including and not limited to: Roads, Tolls, trucks working time and truck permits
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Excellent leadership skills.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Tactful, with excellent selling, communication, negotiation skills and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.

Candidates with the following will be preferred:

  • Proven logistics and Fleet Management Experience
  • Experience in Corporate Communication
