Job Description
- Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another.
- Select carriers and negotiate contracts and terms.
- Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and orchestrate deliveries to meet customer demand with no delay.
- Prepare all the requested shipping and clearance documents.
- Do all legalization, attestation and insurance where needed.
- Receive products and coordinates delivery.
- Continually reviews freight costs, transportation rates, and/or the prices of raw materials to keep costs down where possible.
- Strategically plan and manage logistics, warehouse, customs clearance, transportation and customer services.
- Keep track record of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
- Coordinate sales team by managing schedules, filing documents and communicating relevant information.
- Make sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels.
- Supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce.
- Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- sort and store sales, technical and financial data in electronic form in company’s database.
- Inform clients of unforeseen delays or problems.
- Keep track record of any liquidated damages that might be applied by customers in case of late delivery.
- Identify shortcomings and propose improvements.
- Maintain company’s Log Book for Freight Forwarders, clearance agencies, rates, destinations, incoterms.
- Assist in the preparation and organizing of promotional material or events.
- Work with other departments to incorporate logistics with company procedures and operations.
- Prepare any requested bidding and contract bonds in coordination with other departments.
- Participate in updating company’s database on monthly and quarterly basis.
- Prepare registration documents to facilitate registering OR updating the company’s portfolio at customers’ vendor list.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree in relevant field. Certification in Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management will be an asset.
- Three to five years of experience.
- Proven experience as a pre-sales coordinator or in other administrative positions.
- Very good English proficiency. TOEIC exam will be requested during probation period with minimum score 720.
- Excellent computer skills (MS Office).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
