Job Description
- To promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English within the scope of our English Language and Literacy programmes
- To teach, support and mentor our young learners, in a culture of care, to reach their full potential without bias or judgement
- To communicate progress, concerns and reports to parents, owners and supervisors in regard to students within your unit
- To train, supervise and nurture employees within the unit to the best of your potential, to enhance the level of teaching and support within the Literacy unit
- To work closely & collaboratively with Management and Fellow Supervisors to ensure the smooth, consistent running of the literacy Unit
- Assess, write reports and Monitor Student progress before, during and after their intervention Programmes
- Evaluate Staff members and students within the Literacy Unit and send weekly reports to Management on professional development, level of training, attitude and general well being of Staff and students within the Unit
- Monitor the use of all training materials within the unit
- Maintain and oversea teaching/training schedule for staff and students within the Literacy Unit
Job Requirements
Essential Requirements:
- Bc. degree in a relevant field.
- Cambridge CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL.
- High proficiency/fluency in English i.e. full mastery of the English Language across all 4 skills equivalent to user (CEFR C2) (Near Native)
- 2 + years post-certificate i.e. CELTA/Trinity cert TESOL experience
- Experience in teaching relevant age groups: Children and young adults aged 5-17 (400+ hours)
Desirable Requirements:
- EAP, ESP courses (400+ hours)
- Knowledge of basic spoken Arabic
