Job Description

The Services Architect (SA) is part of the Managed Services Global team supporting Services Sales Consultants (SSC’s), Inside Services Sales (ISS) and the account team to design tailored customer solutions in support of NCR and Multivendor hardware and Managed Services across all industries including: Commerce, Banking, Hospitality, and Travel.

This role will be focused on presales consulting and design of global services for customers. This role is not hands on technical, but having a strong technical background and current knowledge on technology trends will enable you to work with some of the largest vendors in the world to design comprehensive global and regional services. This role is hands on in the design of field services, managed services and technology transformation. These services underpin our customers’ digital transformation journey.

The Pre-Sales consultant will apply in depth Technical knowledge and Contribute to the development of new techniques, models, processes or plans within area of expertise.

POSITION SUMMARY & KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

  • The SA is focused on presales and design of Global Services including Managed Services for networking solutions, networking infrastructure and datacentre active and passive opportunities.
  • Working with sales help to qualify new opportunities, managing sales and customer expectations on what we can deliver
  • The SA is also responsible for assessing the various cost elements of the solution, ensuring it is technically feasible and profitable for NCR.
  • The SA is expected to meet with customers face to face when needed and arrange workshops with the customers.
  • Maintain high quality Vendor relationship with all partners like Cisco, Juniper, Avaya, EMC, Dell and Genesis
  • The SA is accountable for obtaining all internal approvals before submission of the proposal to the customer and Work closely with Services sales, bid finance and pricing analysts.
  • The SA should deliver a well-defined set of service design documents in a timely manner presenting an end to end seamless service
  • The SA should be able to understand the solution components and technical design to deliver services solution set customer expectation and ensure smooth delivery especially for turn-key solutions.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of customer facing experience in a Service Design role including presales, Managed Service frameworks, commercial and contract expertise
  • Strong understanding of Break/Fix, Managed Services, and Networking concepts
  • Experience designing or multi-region services
  • Experience of working with an ecosystem of partners to build an overall service solution model
  • Demonstrated ability to lead presales opportunities including service models, response content, commercials, tactics and negotiation
  • Strong capabilities to articulate the business value of Services and convince a customer of such value
  • Experience working on deals with multiple technology and service layers
  • Deliver a well-defined set of service design documents in a timely manner presenting an end-to-end seamless service
  • Expertise in pre-sales and support strong qualification of opportunities, managing sales and customer expectations about NCR Services can deliver
  • Experience on service cost models and creating innovative commercials to drive competitive advantage
  • Support producing new content including design templates, proposal documentation, and presales slide materials
  • Comfortable delivering solution presentations to Customers
  • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Excellent English Language verbal and written communication skills including the ability to share complex, technical topics clearly, concisely, effectively and professionally
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of pre-sales and service solution design experience in a technology environment.
  • Industry specialization in either finance, retail, or hospitality
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline is strongly desired. A graduate degree is a plus.
  • International work experience or experience working with a global team is preferred.
  • Ability to work in English and Arabic with the global and corporate teams.
  • In addition to excellent Arabic and English language skills, additional language abilities are a plus.
  • A technical and/or services operations background is highly desirable
  • ITIL certification and ISO20000 experience and/or other accreditations are a plus

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE

  • CCIE for 5+ years
  • Certificate in Data centre design
  • ITIL Foundation
