Job Description
- Design and deploy a CI/CD pipeline for developers creating a node.js server and clients for iOS, Android, and web using Gitlab, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes (we are also open to suggestions to complement the existing infrastructure) that will take the developers code from inception to production while testing and validating at every step to avoid production issues
- Develop infrastructure automation that will allow the deployment of code that is not in a container to facilitate testing in the pipeline and scaling of staging and production environments
- Assist with production releases to guarantee transparent updates for the end-user
- Assisting the software testers and guiding their efforts to create tests that will help evaluate updates in the pipeline from the perspective of a user and keep bugs out of the production environment
- Implementation of monitoring for the application and infrastructure to allow for fast response times to incidents and provides viable information for accurate post-mortem reviews
- Responding to incidents that cause issues for the end-user or downtime for the application
Job Requirements
- 4 - 6 years of applicable experience supporting a software development team and the product lifecycle
- 4- 6 years of active experience supporting Gitlab, AWS, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes
- Experience with Linux and Windows-based operating systems and scripting
- Proficient with at least one scripting language (i.e. ruby, python, bash scripting, Powershell)
- Proficient with infrastructure automation technologies (i.e. ansible, puppet, chef, AWS cloud
- formation)
Preferred Skills
- Selenium, PhantomJS, or equivalent test framework
- Hardware device test automation with Selendroid or equivalent
- Strong ability to identify and automate processes and workflows within the business
- Self-starter and ability to find an appropriate work directly from the context in your surroundings
