Job Description
The HR Specialist will be responsible for the employment function ranging from sourcing and attracting top talent to fill existing positions, to ongoing networking and passive searching to continue to attract future candidate, along with onboarding and various HR support functions.
Human Resources Specialist Duties include and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate the recruitment process for assigned positions.
- Prepare and post open positions in various portals to maximize visibility.
- Use traditional and non-traditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, employee referrals, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
- Coordinate and lead in-person interviews maintain close contact with candidates and hiring team on the status of the candidate.
- Develop advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
- Publish social media postings.
- Engage in passive recruiting to mine for talent.
- Extend accurate job offers for assigned staff to ensure terms and conditions are consistent with HR procedures, policy and requisition criteria.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
- Minimum one to two years of experience within a Human Resources department including recruiting experience.
- Knowledge of employment laws.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- A high degree of responsibility in maintaining confidentiality in all matters pertaining to work.
- Additional training and courses in HR are a Plus
