Job Description
- Implement all requirements for Governmental (legal) authorities (Fire brigade - H&S legal office - Environment governmental office).
- Provide guidance in Transportation of Dangerous goods regulation
- Ordering, purchasing, controlling PPE stock, distribution, personal record keeping for PPE
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety
- Evaluate practices, procedures and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law
- Conduct training and presentations for health and safety matters and accident prevention
- Monitor compliance to policies and laws by inspecting employees and operations
- Inspect equipment and machinery to observe possible unsafe conditions
- Investigate accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims
- Recommend solutions to issues, improvement opportunities or new prevention measures
- Report on health and safety awareness, issues and statistics
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree & professional H & S management qualification & NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or Post Graduate qualification in H & S or relevant subject
- More than 5 years of H&S management in a manufacturing environment
- Fluent in English
- Excellent Excel, PowerPoint, word , Outlook
- Experience in developing and deploying Health and Safety Best Practice.
- Extensive experience of risk assessment in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to direct and lead cross-functional process improvement teams.
- Experienced in auditing in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Environmental Management and systems.
- Leadership and ability to lead people, convince/impact others.
- Experience of working with regulatory authorities.
- Strong understanding of Production, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing Systems (SAP)
