Job Description
- Reporting to the Technical Director, the Telecom Technical Leader will have the following responsibilities:
- As Customer Project team member, act as single point of contact for all technical topics related to Telecom, and master technical risks.
- Manage all technical aspects of a complex solution (architecture, systems...) during project execution: design, integration, testing, FAT, installation, commissioning, warranty...
- Define and implement the adequate solution to fulfill customer requirements in terms of technical performance, quality, costs and time; in compliance with the contract.
- Specify the technical Solution and lead the technical coordination of all projects stakeholders: Customers, other Schneider Electric entities, third parties, contractors...
Scope & Environment:
- Large project technical teams located in several sites / countries requiring collaboration with concerned managements, countries, Business units, that may needs also travels abroad (to visit customers, partners, suppliers and/or site operations)
Job Brief :
We are on the hunt for an experienced engineering to work on developing a newly established team for smart grid solutions. He will be responsible on training and developing technical skills of junior engineers, business development, pre-sales support, and customer communications during project delivery.
Job Requirements
- Prepare detailed Work Packs for their scope of works
- Liaise effectively with suppliers and provide technical guidance for design inputs & timely delivery of both designs and equipment
- Call upon expert resources on “As needed” basis
- Active participation in technical clarification meetings with client
- Liaise effectively with QA/ QC engineer to define all supplier testing requirements
- Raise Technical Queries as required and register. Monitor and manage timely resolution of Technical Queries
- For change of work scope, consult with Contract Administrator to raise variation in project variation register
- Prepare Inspection Test Plans including checklists.
- Review any specific handling and/or storage requirements including specification criteria
- Prepare specific project work instructions, Test plan, acceptance templates
- Lead and perform High level design and Typical site design
- Lead the site Engineering
- Prepare the schedule of FAT and Major SAT
Education:
- University Msc/Bsc in Communication Engineering Degree
Language requirements:
- Fluent in English
- French language will be valuable
Experience:
- 15 years leading technical projects or as Solution Application Engineer for large and international Customer projects.
- Deep knowledge on Telecom solutions, UHF/VHF and knowledge in design testing and commissioning.
Skills requirements:
- Proven ability to lead with agility functional and remote technical team having different fields of expertise
- Able to communicate in concise and synthetic manner complex technical issues/topics
- Able to take decisions in complex context based on imperfect/missing conditions
