Job Description

Main Job Duties:

  • Ensuring the availability and reliability of all Mechanical plant & equipment and systems in the field.
  • Implementing adequate preventive and proactive maintenance plans for all Mechanical equipment.
  • Supervise troubleshooting and repair activities to restore equipment service and minimize their down time.
  • Proposing and implementing necessary modifications to improve and upgrade plant & equipment design to meet operational requirements.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities and procedures are carried out in accordance to the company HSE Management regulations and rules to achieve safe and smooth operations.
  • Ensuring availability of 2 years spare parts for new equipment.
  • Supervising lifting and installation and maintenance of pump jacks.
  • Supervising lifting and installation and maintenance of LRPs.
  • Prepare annual operating budget for the mechanical maintenance department.
  • Monitor and control spare parts stock levels, initiate and specify purchase orders and follow up with purchasing department to ensure correct and adequate deliveries.
  • Inspect and approve the receipt of new equipment and spare parts.
  • Carrying out the necessary major overhaul & maintenance and servicing of the following equipment: Pump Jacks – LRP – Boilers - various types of pumps (plunger, screw, vane, diaphragm, gear, single and multistage centrifugal) – PCP (progressive cavity pump) – various types of valves (gate, ball and globe) - control valves – compressors – flame arresters.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • B.SC Mechanical Engineering from a reputable college (Power/Mechatronics).
  • 7+ years min experience, preferably to be oil & gas experience (if not all minimum 3 years).
  • Good knowledge of sorts of pumps its theory of work and parameter selections during process and maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of kinds of valve (globe, gate, ball, etc...) and its classification and maintenance.
  • Good knowledge of bearing classification.
  • Good knowledge of maintenance plans (predictive, protective, corrective and root causes).
  • Good knowledge about control valves ant its types and classification.
  • Good knowledge Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
