Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Accountant will be able to handle account payable functions, treasury function and payroll.
KEY ACCOUNT ABILITIES
- Recording of accounts payable invoices
- Managing AP payments
- Ensuring timely recordings of AP transactions
- Managing banking transactions and recordings
- Preparing and processing payroll activities
- Preparing and managing cost rates for employees
- Helping team with external and internal audits
- Helping team in other adhoc queries from global finance team
Job Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Accountancy qualification or partially qualified
- 4-5 years of similar experience
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND Abilities
- Experience of working in a highly computerized environment and processing financial transactions using an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system and/or accounting software, work experience of oracle and Hyperion is an advantage.
- Proficiency and experience with spreadsheets (MS Excel).
- Experience working with large volume of transactions and in complex systems, requiring a high degree of speed, accuracy and attention to detail
- Knowledge and understanding of sub-ledgers and how they translate to general ledgers
- Understanding of local taxation laws.
