Job Description
- Implements specific Structural works in accordance with the work program of a project, or as requested within his Department.
- Organizes and supervises the work engineers and draftsmen allocated to him and provides support and/or advice to project teams, as applicable.
- Responsible for efficient and effective design of Structural works, preparation of drawings, contract documents, design structure elements, etc.
- Verifies that all designs, drawings and documents are to current codes and standards.
- Liaises as directed with consulting engineers, and/or contractors on all matters necessary for the implementation of the work program of the project.
- Undertakes special project assignments as required by the Structural Department Manager or his senior, as applicable.
Job Requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of computer-aided design CAD – software and tools related to Structural Department.
- Good knowledge of other software, such as: presentation and M.S. Office packages.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Structural design standards and codes.
- Knowledge of local authorities and governmental regulations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern construction techniques and high tech. materials.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work professionally with persons at all levels.
- Excellent communication and team-player skills.
- Ability to transfer knowledge to others in the design and preparation of drawings, specifications and estimates to use in the course of design.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in oral and written form.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and directives.
- Ability of gathering, developing and applying modern technical details.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships throughout the organization.
- Capable of defining and meeting realistic timelines.
- Able to read and understand technical information.
