Job Description

  • Attend Open Days to inform prospective students and answer their questions about engineering programs: curricula, academic regulations, university status, careers, etc.
  • Update the comprehensive student records sheet in preparation for advising, communicate the students’ progress to the program director.
  • Confirm the courses to be offered with the program directors.
  • Coordinate with other undergraduate program coordinators about the required common courses.
  • Communicate with and inform new instructors about NU academic policies.
  • Follow up on lab and classroom requirements for different courses.
  • Follow up on textbook orders.
  • Coordinate with IT to create the courses on MOODLE, communicate enrollment keys to faculty and enrolled students.
  • Send transfer-of-credits requests to the committee involved.
  • Help in printing and safe-keeping of exams; place orders for exam booklets.
  • Post-course material and news (for example schedule changes) whenever required.
  • Divide juniors and seniors among faculty advisers and provide their updated records.
  • Help faculty in advising continuing students, handle drop/add, withdrawal, petitions, schedule clashes.
  • Communicate poor performance notifications to students.
  • Conduct an early and a final evaluation, communicate the results to the program director.
  • Follow up on payment of compensation to visiting instructors.
  • Ensure proper communication of the final grades to the Registrar.
  • Check to graduate students’ records for any missing requirement.
  • Annually add the modified scholarships to registration cards, communicate them to Finance.
  • Collect course material and update course portfolios.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or any relevant field
  • 3-5 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Administrative experience in an educational field is a huge plus!
  • Past experience dealing directly with University students is a huge plus!
  • Customer service background in an International account is a huge plus!
  • Excellent command of English
  • Excellent communication and multitasking skills
