About the Job
  • The Hair Addict is looking to hire an editor in Chief who will be responsible for the content calendar as a whole. This starts from the creation of creative themes that represents The Hair Addict Brand as well as the management and supervision of any content produced for publication on The Hair Addict social media, blog, website or on any printed material. The ideal candidate should be well versed in the English language in terms of syntax and semantics. They should be able to articulate and communicate their thoughts with brevity, clarity, and precision.

Key responsibilities:

  • Managing the social media strategist team by working on our account expansion and ensuring that we attract the right target audience.
  • Review all content that’s created by the team for accuracy and appropriateness, providing suggestions where necessary to improve them. This includes any written material on The Hair Addict social media, blog, website or on any printed material.
  • Determine the editorial guidelines and tone of voice for the brand, ensuring that all content produced falls in line with this style.
  • Responsible for leading and managing the Editorial Staff Members. This includes motivating the team and managing their performance. Also, he/she will be responsible for hiring the staff for the content and editorial team.
  • Responsible for managing the work between The Hair Addict and the freelance graphic designers and photographers.
  • Working with the editorial team to develop their writing capabilities, offering regular feedback.
  • Responsible for the creation of creative themes for the monthly content calendar by working closely with the editorial team members to generate ideas with content boards for upcoming publications or campaigns.
  • Looking out for potential editorial/coverage topics and discuss them with the team.
  • Close sales by managing the financial aspects of the advertisement on our social media platforms. This includes finding new and innovative ways to attract sponsors
Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, journalism or English
  • 5+ years of experience in the same field
  • Previous experience in managing people
  • Strong English writing, grammar, spelling and editing skills
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written
  • Solid editorial judgment
