Job Description

The Talent Manager role is to enable the organization to identify, develop, retain and manage its talent pool. The role will also manage Leadership Engagement, Leadership Competency Profiling, and Leadership Development as well as People Development.

  • Identify the high potentials in the organization through pre-approved matrix and/or criteria.
  • Work with the Organization Development from one end and the Compensation team from another to agree the Must Retain Employees, the High Performers, etc. so as to develop and manage the company’s Talent Pool.
  • Work with the line management to apply pre-agreed criteria for identifying talents, high potentials, etc. as well as to conduct necessary due diligence including an assessment to identify the Talent Pool.
  • Assist in developing the company’s Leadership Competency Profile and/or reviewing it, and thus will be responsible for identifying the development needs for the leadership and create/co-manage development opportunities.
  • Will be responsible for the leadership engagement and alignment as per strategically agreed with the CEO and the CHRO of the company.
  • Assist in the development, implementation and management of the Succession Planning for the company.
  • Assist in identifying the key jobs in the organization and matching talents and/or successors to the critical/key jobs.
  • Assist the HR team, working with line management to identify the development/learning needs and create strategic solutions for improving competencies across the company.
  • Will lead or participate in developing IDPs (Individual Development Plans) for target developers and/or potential staff and successors.
  • Collaborates with leadership to ensure management alignment and smooth business operations through leadership engagement and counseling.
  • Coach line management on people development and managing the transfer of knowledge and skills.
  • Assist in the design and implementation of strategic Development Programs for the different categories of staff.
  • Partner with the HR team and Assist in the development and/or improvement of the company’s Performance Framework including the Performance Management System, but more specifically the functional KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) or BSC’s (Balanced Score Cards), as well as their linkage to the business strategies so as to ensure the company’s performance culture.
  • Assist in the Talent Acquisition, identifying the need and coordinating with the recruitment team the sourcing, selection and mobilization of external talents.
  • Introduce and/or manage effective recognized tools to support Talent Management like the 9-Box Matrix for potential calibers, Competence Profiling for Leadership and/or Key jobs, etc.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • HR relevant certificate.
  • MBA certificate is a plus.
  • Certification in Competency Development and/or Leadership competencies.
  • 5+ years of experience in Talent Management in a dynamic mid to large size organizations is a must.
