Coordinate with OR Manager reg. management of the department
Organize, direct and coordinate functions and activities in the department (supervising the charge nurses)
Establish standards and workflow patterns.(related to anesthesia)
Revision of policies and procedures for department operations
Provide essential equipment and supplies for each operating suite. (In coordination
with supervisor and biomedical dept.)
Ensure that each suite is adequately equipped and ready for use as scheduled.
Daily checking for OR cleanliness, sterility and safety. (reporting in case of any
problems)
Check the sterile technique(reporting in case of any problems)
Observe and inspect activities of medical staff in surgery if they perform in
conformity to ASSIH principles and privileges
Reports any violations to proper authority
Schedule hour and assign duties. (related to anesthesia)
Evaluate work performance and recommends personnel actions such as merit
increases, promotions, transfers and disciplinary actions with OR Mgr
Give solutions to problems and grievances.
Attend meetings which required our department.
Close Monitoring for strict adherence to “Time Out” Policy with the charge nurse
Maintain accurate records of Surgery Statistics for discussion in OR users
meeting
Evaluate the process in OR by coordinating between the charge nurses
Receive and check equipment to and from the Biomedical Department.
