Job Description

Length of Assignment: 8 months

Manage the project including  project’s M&E, financial, logistic and material resources 

  • Manage budget, logistics and material resources in compliance with internal regulations and coordination with support services (finance, HR, log…)
  • Organize and chair team meetings internally and externally
  • Produce internal and donor reports in collaboration with Operations and Finance Teams
  • Anticipate needs for project amendment and contribute to its development
  • Prepare and lead Project Launching Workshop and Project Quarterly Review

 

Develop the partnership framework & coordinate with partners and stakeholders involved in project implementation

  • Develop partnership agreements in close relation with Operations and Finance Teams
  • Monitor the implementation of the activities and related requirements
  • Organize coordination meetings with the partners to assess the progress made
  • Capacity-building

 

Manage the project team

  • Lead, coach and supervise the project team
  • Assess the team needs for training and identify adapted response in coordination with Human Resource department and coordination team.
  • Measure the performance of the project team along the year and provide guidance as required

 

Supervise the development of methodologies and tools for the project he/she is in charge of

  • Identify an supervise the development of the tools needed for implementing the project activities
  • Identify needs requiring Technical Unit and/or external expertise support
  • Define training plan & manual for project team/the partners for using tools and methodologies
  • Monitor the use of tools and methodologies and organize regular lessons learnt analysis
  • Develop terms of reference for technical mission and support missions from the regional office and contribute to their organization

 

Contribute to the Program Strategic Framework and to the development of new projects

  • Participate to the development of new projects into the field of expertise

Job Requirements

Education

  • University Degree in Development-related field or Business Administration

 Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years practical experience in managing project
  • Minimum of 5 years practical experience in managing staff
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience in working with vulnerable group
  • Minimum of 3 years practical experience in the livelihood initiatives and emergency response
  • Proved experience of community based approach

Skills/Competencies

  • Particularly strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Special ease at collaborative work, participatory approach
  • Excellent team worker; ability to create dynamic and very positive working relations including at distance, with high level of mutual confidence and solidarity
  • Positive and constructive personality, very composed, solution-oriented and with a high level of professional maturity
  • Ability to travel in the country and in the region
  • Solid IT skills including knowledge of office software.

Languages

  • Excellent knowledge (written and spoken) of Arabic and a very good knowledge (written and spoken) of English.
