Job Description
Job purpose
- Evaluates and analyzes business functions and processes to develop and implement effective business systems solutions, support business subject matter experts and technical staff. Provides leadership over IT components/deliverables for multiple functional areas.
Duties and responsibilities
- Assesses and analyzes business requirements to develop and recommend business process and system improvements.
- Applies understanding of business requirements and their relationship to application requirements to design effective solutions.
- Collaborates with internal customers to gather and document operational and functional requirements, including business subject matter experts to specify requirements and translate them to well-designed software solutions.
- Performs process improvement tasks, conducting studies on complex operational problems and new system requirements.
- Provides complex technical support for IT solutions, third party software and internally developed applications.
- Consults with business units and acts as a liaison between Information Systems & Technology and business units. Supports multiple functional areas,
- Provides complex business/data analytical support for core operations.
- Provides functional assistance in the pursuit of identifying production problems
- Researches and proposes solutions including cost projections, expense analysis, feasibility studies, etc.
- Interprets user requirements.
- Completes the development of written instructional manuals, processes, and other required forms.
- Provides assistance in the pursuit of identifying production problems
- Develops and implements operating standards and procedures to ensure quality and integrity in data collection, input and reporting in automated and manual systems.
- Provides or coordinates feedback to users on all referred problems
- Provides project leadership over multiple functional area components/deliverables. Researches and proposes effective and efficient solutions. Accounts for any variance between estimates and actual time required to complete project tasks. May provide direction to Business System Analysts assigned to projects, as required.
- Demonstrates proficiency with the principles and methodologies of process improvement. Applies these in the execution of responsibilities in support of a process focused approach.
- Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

Qualifications
- Utilizes system tools to develop adhoc queries and reports in response to user requests.
- Utilizes appropriate methodologies to generate results that meet business requirements by developing functional and technical design documents, preparing unit test plans and test data, executing testing of applications prior to customer acceptance, and preparing comprehensive documentation.
- Writes detailed descriptions of user needs, functional requirements and processes required for integrating or modifying existing applications and for developing new applications to meet business needs. Responsible for integration between multiple systems.
