Job Description
We are looking for experienced engineering senior engineer to join our design management team in the P-1 Area of New Administrative Capital of Egypt.
- Mechanical shop drawing(draw/review/modify/submit) & IFC check;
- Managing project design document review and verification;
- Specification review and feedback;
- Provide technical knowledge and insight as required;
- Preparing RFI and provide necessary coordination between different parties;
- Provide a progress report to the design manager and attend scheduled meetings;
- Coordinate between different design disciplines;
- Assist in preliminary and final BOQ verification and provide technical insight;
- Detect the non-compliance issue if any, and provide necessary coordination;
- Resolve technical issues with suppliers, subcontractors, site engineers, and client representative;
- Manage, monitor, and review shop drawing drafting according to the project timeline;
- Review shop drawings and design documents provided by sub-contractors and specialists and assist in design review submittal.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering (ain shams or Cairo University is a plus) ;
- Minimum 5 years professional experience in Mechanical shop drawing design and management;
(negotiable if in possession of a post-graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering) - Fluent in English and interpersonal communication;
- Familiar with HVAC， FIREFIGHTING and PLUMBING;
- Familiar with Egyptian and American Mechanical Standards;
- Experienced in tall building Mechanical shop drawing design and management;
- Master mechanical calculation and equipment selection，such as expansion fittings and loops，support calculation of pipe，duct and equipment，pressure drops for piping and ducting；
- Experienced in QC and design team management;
- Work experience in a reputable design consulting firm is a plus;
- Experience in high building design is a plus;
- Well established connection within the construction industry is a plus;
- You will be working in the New Administrative Capital site office, with shuttle bus provided for transit.
- Preference is given to candidates who can start immediately.
