Job Description

  • Provides advice and leadership in his/her area of expertise affecting RGE’s businesses to meet long and short-term corporate objectives.
  • Coordinates activities of merchandising departments to obtain optimum efficiency of operations with minimum costs in order to maximize profits.
  • Recommends additions to, or deletions of merchandise to be sold in the store and inspects merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed.
  • Ensures proper knowledge transfer and trains Shop Managers and their assistants to comply with policies set forth by the company and to implement brand’s image in their shops and participates in the recruitment process to choose the best caliber.
  • Plans layout of stock room, warehouse and other storage areas, considering turnover, size, weight, and related factors of items stored to ensure controlling and supervising orders’ quantities and sales inventory results in coordination with the Country Director.
  • Analyzes the market segment at which the store product is aimed, along with prices and competition to ensure providing brand related reports and data on a regular basis.
  • Plans and organizes events, prepares promotions, sales and special collection for the brand, as well as liaises with the Marketing department and the suppliers to facilitate sales of the brand.
  • Ensures standards for sales, rotation and loss are established.
  • Maximize top-line sales performance and make commercial decisions within the agreed brand framework.
  • Deliver assigned brands as per brand standards.
  • Control costs within budgetary guidelines.
  • Ensure effective communication with the merchandising team to report any stock issues immediately such as discrepancy/missing/damaged goods and information on best/worst selling items.
  • Ensure that the Loss &Prevention policies, systems & procedures are implemented and that any discrepancies in stock inventory are investigated in a timely manner to minimize risk of internal and external loss. Implements the inventory process & contingency action plans to prevent shrinkage
  • Organize the design, opening, modification, refurbishment or closure of stores in accordance with the Brand development plans and standards.
  • Ensure new store openings are as per standard, delivered within the defined timescales and full handover is achieved in a timely manner.
  • Identify internal and external commercial opportunities and feedback to Country Management and B&M Teams.
  • Drive market share and study competition regularly recommending actions to B&M
  • Recommend marketing and trade calendar to reflect local needs and opportunities
  • Ensure regular product feedback to B&M teams to influence product and category mix.
  • Prepare required sales and brand reports on timely basis.

Job Requirements

  • Presentable
  • Fluency English Language (Written and spoken)
  • Fashion Retail Experience is a must
  • Good Communication Skills
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel ,word and PowerPoint )
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
