Job Description
- Checking of field erection documentation, including “as-built” documentation
- Monitoring subcontractors to ensure conformity to planning, compliance with specifications, fulfillment of contractual stipulations, observance of site rules & regulations, permit-to-work procedures, clarification and completion of any outstanding items and review of method statements
- Technical review of subcontractor partial payment installments in correlation with the Quantity Surveyor
- Assuring that the tasks under his responsibility are in accordance with applicable state and national laws
- Checks to ensure timely receipt of complete.
- Acceptance testing and takeover of supplies and services from subcontractors and handover to the customer
- Providing assistance in matters of claims management
- Reporting any contractual deviations to the contract manager, and providing support in the preparation of outgoing claims and defense against incoming claims - time schedule tracking and updating.
- Reporting on progress of Steel Works work, keeping a daily log of erection works
- Reporting of disagreements and non-conformance's to allow initiation of project; specific solutions and to ensure information and experience feedback; provision of support for project concurrent cost accounting
- Detection, reporting and recording of additional costs as well as claims; relevant conditions and events, including documentation thereof
- Ensuring compliance with the requirements, regulations and procedures governing occupational health & safety and environmental protection within his or her own scope of responsibility
