Job Description
- Ultimately responsible and accountable for area safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
- Responsible for Shop annual business plan development and direction of shop activities in accordance with local and corporate goals, objectives, and policies.
- Monitor the scorecard reporting process for input into Gap Closure Planning for current and future years.
- Maintain regular 5S culture across all shop lines to recognize and communicate safe work practices and establishes objectives for ergonomics, health/safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Directly supervises, Motivates, trains, and develops a group of non-skilled production and skilled trades employees to effectively perform their jobs
- Understand / use competency/skill matrix for all direct report to manage resource both technical and none technical competencies
- Drives first time quality in station and initiates appropriate action plans to prevent quality spills
- Maintains awareness to quality standards, communicates department quality goals, and Evaluates group quality/performance levels resources to solve quality problems
- Drive productivity / efficiency enhancement workshops across his teams to maintain competitiveness and lean implementations.
- Manages production schedules and product requirements by utilizing competitive manufacturing processes with emphasis on variation, quality defects reduction
- Understand and utilize lean tools to drive improvement (5S, Visual factory, target setting, Line balancing, capacity planning, VSM)
- Manages improve throughput and manpower utilization efficiency ( Hours Per Vehicle “HPU” )
- Manage operations cost centre to ensure operating cost within target ( Cost per Vehicle “CPV”
Job Requirements
- BSc. Mechanical / Industrial / Automotive Engineering.
- Preferred with Automotive Manufacturing Background.
- Very Good Leadership is a MUST
- Very Good English language.
- Advanced skill in using MS office, AutoCAD and MS project
