Job Description
- Develop visual ideas that suit the brief.
- Seek the editor’s/author’s approval for ideas with rough visuals and make any changes as required, right up to the completion of the job.
- Work within a set timescale, often to tight deadlines and under pressure.
- Work well with other illustrators, designers, and editors.
Job Requirements
- Be able to use drawing tablets and digital illustration software (Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop).
- Be able to work to a brief, solve problems creatively and adapt their style if needed; thinking creatively to produce new ideas.
- Have self-motivation and commitment.
- Have excellent organizational skills.
- Be multi-tasking: Possessing the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and competing priorities.
