Supply Chain Senior Manager

The jobs in this level are responsible for managing more than one function/department in the Supply Chain by developing relationships with key vendors, optimizing the supply chain activities, planning resources and coordinating with other functions to ensure the delivery of goods in the required quality, cost, time and budget. Job holders are responsible of optimizing the techniques used in the department to provide balance between responsive & efficient supply chain and take right decisions based on data analysis and scientific justification. Jobs at this level evaluate and manage the business risk to ensure optimum decisions are taken, provide guidance to subordinates and facilitate related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.

Responsabilities:

• Participates in the formulation and implementation of the Supply Chain department plans to ensure the alignment with the company ’s overall objectives and business plans.
• Participates in the development of Supply Chain department policies, and procedures and ensures implementation of all relevant procedural/legislative requirements.
• Manages the day-to-day operations of Supply chain department by facilitating related professional work processes in order to achieve high performance standards.
• Supervises the activities and work of subordinates to ensure that all work within a specific area of the Supply Chain unit activity is carried out in an efficient manner.
• Prepares the Supply Chain unit budget and ensures that the activities within this unit is implemented processed as per the assigned budget
• Manages the effective achievement of department objectives by setting individual targets, developing and motivating staff in order to maximize subordinate’s performance.
• Acts as source of specialist management to teams of sr. engineers on critical items to complete operational and planning tasks and allocates activities cost effectively.
• Develops and maintains long-term relationships with vendors.
• Implements improvements to existing methods of procurement to ensure best practice is introduced to the procurement activities.
