Job Description
Java Software Integration Developer
- Develop and maintain JEE modules, as well as Perl & PHP applications, for the organization’s middleware platform and OSS/BSS tools
- Contribute productively to a fast paced agile/scrum software development team – (daily standups, code reviews, task estimation, unit testing, continuous integration, short bursts of delivery)
- Work with Product team or Operations team stakeholders to understand and capture project
- Work with the Manager of Integration to balance project delivery requirements amidst operational issues.
- Continuously improve, refine and refactor the code base. A solid foundation in the basics of
- Software development including object-oriented design, debugging, unit testing, and
- Continuous integration is desired.
- Services (SOAP and/or Restful))
- Can help with technical design& architecture but balancing that with the primary role of delivery
Job Requirements
- Ideal candidates will have 2 of the 3 following skillsets (Spring, Hibernate, and/or Web
- Familiarity consuming and producing web services and enterprise integration concepts in a
- JBOSS environment (SOA) environment
- Knowledge of continuous integration technologies (Maven, Jenkins, Sonar)
- Ability to use and debug applications running on a Linux operating system (Redhat)
- Unit Testing (variations on JUnit)
- 5+ years of production software development experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge of building extensible back-end application frameworks.
- Good understanding of web application development using HTTP REST, software standards,
- Software development life cycle and methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience with integrating 3rd party APIs into existing JEE applications (webservices, CORBA, RMI, OSS/J)
- Working knowledge of Web Applications in Client Server environment.
- Direct experience with developing a web services messaging and business logic layer (SOAP and RESTful)and familiarity with WSDL’s, JSON, and XML.
- Mid-Level knowledge of DB SQL Skills in a Modern Relational DB (mysql, oracle, postgres, BerkleyDB, etc.) – design and development SSO/SAML 2.0
- Direct Experience with one or more JEE and Simple Web Containers – GlassFish, Jboss,
- Weblogic, Tomcat
- Knowledge with Java based BPML Workflow Engines a plus.
- Knowledge with CAS Server components a plus
- Knowledge with Access Management, LDAP Directories,
- RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), compliance and Auditing Technologies, Identity Federation,
- Enterprise System Architecture, Security Infrastructure Design,
- Authentication and Authorization technologies a plus
