Job Description

  • The Senior Planning Engineer is responsible for the overall evaluation and control of the assigned project schedules and performs schedule development, maintenance and monitoring of the planning/scheduling activities with minimal or no supervisory oversight.
  • Preparation of Project Schedule (Tools used: Primavera, MS Project etc.,) covering entire scope and within defined timelines
  • Prepares monthly report reflecting work progress summary.
  • Deciding on the most appropriate engineering techniques and sequences of activities for each project stage.
  • Prepare and update project schedule based on the contract.
  • Ensuring plans meet the client’s specifications.
  • Making estimations for timescales and costs.
  • Supervising the project at all stages and providing solutions to problems.
  • Collaborating with site managers, surveyors, engineers, site worker and other professionals.
  • Recommend appropriate improvements and ensure optimal quality of all project schedules and evaluate reports.
  • Calculating Optimal Material requirement, Manpower Requirement (of various trades) & Machinery Requirement
  • Collect periodic updates and prepare daily, weekly and monthly updates of the project
  • Monitor critical activities based on the project schedule and advise project management.
  • Participate in project meetings and discussions with the Client as required.
  • Sets up alerts for all important contractual and milestone dates
  • Updates the schedule based on inputs received from project team
  • Accumulates, collects and analyses data and information required for planning
  • Integrates inter-discipline schedule requirements and constraints to establish logical work sequences for assigned disciplines or specialties.
  • Reviews and assesses the work sequences with the total project plan.
  • Identifies, analyzes and monitors schedule deviations for assigned disciplines or specialties including subcontractor submittals and recommends corrective action/work-around solutions for project considerations.
  • Develops and writes the schedule commentary that appears in the monthly progress and similar reports. Identifies and reports activities that have a critical or potential impact on the schedule and prepares and presents the Critical Items Action Report.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • BC.s in Architectural
  • Minimum 15+ years of experience in a similar position
  • Strong familiarity with project management software, such as Primavera and computer.
  • Interpersonal skill, ethical values, and commitment to continual improvement
  • Very good in English
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to work independently as well as part of an effective team.
