Job Description

  • Assist with new product positioning in terms of its relationship to a larger product portfolio, the competitive landscape, and the customer's perspective.
  • Gather and understand competitive product and service information to help shape and position new products/services, leveraging a range of methods including large-scale surveys, in-practice visits, and other forms of competitive research.
  • Serve as customer/user champion to ensure that product interface, features and experience reflect voice-of-customer input, market needs, and corporate delivery objectives.
  • Participate in market development and launch preparation for commercial introduction.
  • Understand and fluently communicate technical solutions and benefits.
  • Collaborate to support development and effective delivery of product messaging by marketing, sales, customer support and investor relations, teams.
  • Works with marketing communications to develop tactical tools.
  • Support development and delivery of all internal, partner/distribution, and customer/user informational, training and instructional materials.
  • Work with Product Development, Distribution (internal and external), Sales, and Finance to help ensure accurate forecasts, both in terms of sales targets and manufacturers readiness to meet demand.
  • Mentor and train members of the marketing organization to assume ownership of the product as it moves from launch into general availability.
  • In addition, continue to serve as a resource to a marketing organization to ensure early marketplace success.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • Min 2 years of experience required in a related field (marketing & Sales) in Vet industry.
  • Proven success working in a highly competitive business environment.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate at a senior level.
  • Marketing Certification is desired.
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills, plus demonstrated skills handling variety of assignments simultaneously.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in Veterinary Market industry is desired.
