Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • To lead and prepare Bids and Tenders (Technical and Commercial), for requests for Proposals (RFP’s), and Tender
  • requests.
  • To identify sales leads, pitch goods or services to new Clients, prepare and deliver presentations on our services and
  • capabilities.
  • To maintain a good working relationship with new contacts and Clients.
  • To develop and execute a wide range of marketing strategies.
  • The BD Manager is involved in both strategic planning and day-to-day operations.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • To target, nurture, negotiate and successfully close contracts as necessary, to meet and surpass agreed sales
  • targets.
  • Drive sales activities to win new business from existing and new customers to add revenue and profit.
  • To promote and build professional Client relationships.
  • Identifying and develop new business opportunities to provide facility management services.
  • Meet Clients and prospects and prepare and deliver presentations as required.
  • To maintain excellent relationships and after sales support.
  • To build rapport/mutual confidence in line with the agreed business strategy and plans.
  • Raise the company and business profile representing Morganti at industry events.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry developments, maintaining awareness of competitor activity and market
  • trends.
  • To communicate with and report back to the GM on a regular basis.
  • To prepare and deliver pre-qualification questionnaires.
  • To Support the GM and the Operations teams with re-bids and variations for existing clients.
  • Excellent knowledge and exposure to the FM market in Egypt.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of onsite operations.
  • Oversee the new proposals and submissions.
  • Identify new opportunities and new Clients for FM Services, where appropriate, identifying potential business partnerships beneficial to the company.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop and execute a wide range of marketing strategies to enhance the business and balance revenues and profitability.
  • Maintain a close relationship with current Clients to build new relations with new Clients.
  • Manage and coordinate periodical meetings with all Clients, and create and maintain the excellent relationships required.

Job Description :

  • Develop and cultivate senior level relationships with Clients, consultants, Government agencies and Authorities.
  • Lead the bid phase of projects including assembling and managing bid teams for the successful conversion of tender proposals.
  • Review tender submissions to identify potential project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Manage the preparation and development of bid documentation in response to requests for proposals (RFP’s) and prepare tender queries.
  • Work collaboratively with Clients to achieve the highest possible certainty of cost outcome.
  • Leading the financial, contractual and technical management activity on large scale bids and proposals.
  • Managing the end-to-end management of the bid preparation process, the proposal delivery and negotiations with the GM.
  • Conducting technical and commercial contractual analysis and negotiation of RFPs/bids/proposals, contracts, sub-contracts, partnership agreements and drafting of contracts and contract related documents.

Methods of Working ( The post holder will be expected to ):

  • Assist in providing information and updates on scheduled activities. Prompt and courteous response to Client requests.
  • Be aware of parameters and conditions for achieving Key Performance Indicators.
  • Assist in the generation of weekly and monthly reports.
  • Assist in ensuring that operational activities meet and integrate with the organisational requirements for
  • HSEQ, legal and statutory requirements and general duty of care.

Job Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Minimum five years’ experience in a Business Development Role.
  • Team Player able to provide a variety of functions related to commercial and business development requirements.
  • Self-motivated, with good interpersonal skills, initiative, analytical thinking, decision making and leadership abilities.
  • Good command of spoken and written English.
  • Able to do precise report writing.
  • Good knowledge of ISO standards like ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
