Performs regular store keeping functions such as receiving, checking, storing and issuing of medicines and Pharmacy items.
Securing and protection of assigned materials.
Ensures proper documentation of work as it is processed through the various stages and operates the random stock locator system.
Inspects all incoming shipments for possible overages, shortages, damages and substitutions and prepares appropriate documentation.
Unloads / loads and segregates incoming material for delivery to final destination.
Prepares tally sheets comparing material receipts against freight waybills and reports shortages and damaged items.
Assists in recounts of materials or periodically counts materials independently as may be required to verify stock balances against stock records.
Keeps stock adjustments at a minimum by investigating stock variances by use of data processing reports receiving and issuing documents.
Investigates overages, shortages, and substitutions of new receipts and provides the details to prepare valid claim documents.
Maintains stock location system and initiates documentation for Data Processing update.
