Job Description

Purpose Of The Job

  • The holder of this job shall produce and maintain financial reports and develop strategies based on extensive financial research.

Accountabilities & Duties

  • Provide financial reports and provide an interpretation of financial information to managerial staff
  • Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, and the organization’s actual performance compared to the business plans
  • Conduct reviews and find solutions for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Oversee operations of the Finance Department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for how those are to be met
  • Responsible for the preparation of the organization’s budget
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Responsible for forecasting cash flow positions and available funds for investment
  • Ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements
  • Report to management on variances from the established budget, and provide the reasons for those variances
  • Engage in ongoing cost reduction analyses concerning all departments of the organization

Job Requirements

  • A minimum 8-10 years of experience, Experience in Non-profit organization and national societies is an added value
  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Sound financial management, controlling and monitoring skills;
  • Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
  • Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
